She Sits! ... sort of...

Check her out! She is sitting.. she can stay like this for a couple of minutes before she topples over. which is the cutest thing ever! We plop her down and stick a toy in front of her - so when she leans forward she can stay up by herself. Soon enough she'll be sitting up straight. And she can move herself around when she's on her tummy. Not yet crawling- but she can get around the blanket pretty well and get to whatever toy she wants. Amazing. It's like it happened over night!
We'll probably retire her pink seat soon. She's got about 5 more pounds before she officially can't ride in it anymore. But whew - lugging her around in this thing is no longer a convenience. It's a hernia waiting to happen. We'll get her new car seat in the next week or two. That's the one that will stay in the car,.. for now she still will face the rear. Once she's a year old she'll stay in the same seat but we can face it forward. And then when she's even older,we can STILL use the same seat for her booster seat! So at least we'll get 6-7 years out of the next seat!
She rode in her stroller this weekend like a big girl.. sitting forward in teh real seat. She loved it! She got to look at all the trees and dogs and not just at me. :)
Gracie is definitely liking Eileen these days. Eileen still sqeals at the site of Gracie and wants to pet her. Gracie has figured out that licking Eileen's face after she's had her carrots and bananas is quite the plus.
